how to UNLOCK Galaxy s5 Alternative Password with out deleting any data

i have this problem with my galaxy s5 ,that the fingerprint scanner doesn't appear in the screen as and option for me to choose alternative password or the fingerprint..i don't remember my password...I TRY Doing the Android Device Manager,i change the password. i recieve the message but the new password wont work.....Im Trying to unlock the phone with out deleting any data.. ....HELP Me PLEASE THANKS

Welcome to Android Central! You need to remember your backup password--this is the very reason why you were asked to create a backup password when you chose to use the fingerprint scanner.

If you fail the password enough times, does it ask for your Google credentials?
