I am pretty sure I know the answer but figured its worth a shot. I have a Galaxy S5 for well over a year now. Case, glass protector, etc. It slipped out of my hands this morning and fell face down in a parking lot. The screen is black now. Still vibrates, LED lights, makes sounds/noise etc., but the screen is black. Tried swapping batteries, resetting, and anything else I can think of.
Safe to assume its the screen and possibly digitizer?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank you in advance.

I would agree it's damaged. Do you have insurance?

    Unfortunately, no I do not.
When I removed the glass protector I noted a few small cracks on my screen as well which I know insurance doesn't cover.
I guess this is a hopeless issue, must be damaged. Perhaps I will break out my Galaxy S4 and use it until the S7 comes out.

I've had this happen before and the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the board dislodged. I took it to a repair shop and they reconnected it. Good luck.
