The Android default email program shows 569 emails in the opening screen inbox. However, there are no emails in the inbox or trash. went to application manager and cleared cache. no change. removed battery for 15 minutes. no change. this is not in the AT&T email app. My wife's same phone does the same thing.

    Ideas??

    Welcome to Android Central!

Go into the system settings > accounts menu and be sure that the email is set to sync. See if that helps.
