S Planner lost all events when Synced

I have been using S Planner on my S5 for the last 12 months, Synced to my gmail calendar. Today I went to Sync as it has been over a month since this was last done. Unfortunately this resulted in all of the last months events I had created disappearing. I only ever create events under my gmail Calendar. I have since created some events again and successfully synced my phone back to gmail, no settings were changed.

Has anyone else experienced this? Very frustrating as I have been using S Planner as a diary and for all of my work.
