What is that symbol in the notification bar, second from the far left? If that is a battery saver/monitor app, please uninstall it for testing purposes.
You should optimize all apps except the few (three or four) which Google will not allow you to optimize.
And, if you haven't done so already, please reboot the phone.

You were getting 2 days with FB and FB Messenger installed?
rly?
While some do it out of habit after a software update, others don't, but a lot of times it fixes issues. Have you done a factory reset or wiped the cache?

It sounds like some app may not be behaving properly. I would boot into safe mode for a while and see what your battery life is like, and if the freezing continues. If it runs normally, then you should start uninstalling apps one at a time, reboot, and see what happens. You can download GSAM battery monitor - this will help you see what is draining the battery.
Again though, I am putting my virtual money on a misbehaving app.
Well. I don't know. My battery life has been great since updating. Of course, it was already good. But I can tell that it lasts longer now even though it was already lasting me a couple/few days per charge.
Only thing now is that it takes a bit longer to fully charge. Not extremely longer. Just noticeably longer.
How old is the battery? Could be an aging battery.
I thought my battery was decreasing quite fast too, but I got mine upon launch, which means it's a two year old device + battery... I managed to achieve a 2h SoT on 48h without charging with about 45% left, so I guess my consumption is kinda normal, considering the aging factor...
On the other hand, MM update brought me two bugs:
1 - The "No SIM Notification" is gone, I mean, with the screen blocked it shows the "No SIM" info, but the icon is now missing on the notification bar.
2 - Highlighting text and and hitting the "Back Key" to cancel selection on Chrome (and also Facebook browser) makes the app close.
Can anyone confirm those two glitches/bugs on Galaxy S5 after MM update? I'm curious to see if it's a problem with my device or with this build in general...
It's kinda of silly, but it's annoying me... I did a factory reset after the update, but both bugs still there... Was even considering reflashing to stock using Kies (mine is stock, unrooted, but OTA updated), do you guys think it will work/it's a good idea???
Bump!

Mod Note, let's keep things on topic, if you have a question on another topic then please create your own thread.
YMMV. Each device is different. So if the battery was aged, i would assume that i wouldn't see such a change in such a short period.
My co-worker has a Note 4/Sprint and upgraded to MM 6.0 and her battery was fine before the upgrade. After the MM upgrade, the battery was draining really fast. She bought a new battery and it is back to normal.
Here I was thinking maybe my battery was just toast. I am rooted and also upgraded to MM 6.01 when I bought the phone two weeks ago. Battery life is absolutely horrible. I have cleaned my cache, rebooted, drained battery completely and recharged. I have also tried battery saving apps and have had zero luck.
