was just on facebook on my s5 using internet explorer and when using a news link it suddenly said there was a virus and i had to download du cleaner now it will not allow me on the internet using explorer unless i download du cleaner. if i use chrome no problem just explorer

how do i get rid of it off explorer

It's a scam. Just use Chrome and ignore virus warnings that come from free apps.

Hello Patrick, welcome to the forums. Try this. Go to settings - security - device administrators and make sure this app is unchecked. Then select the app in your app manager, force stop, clear data and then uninstall. Tell us how it goes.

hi there thanks for the directions unfortunately the app isnt downloaded on to the phone to be able uninstall its when i go to internet explorer it forces me to the app site to download

I thought you had already downloaded that app and wanted to uninstall it. As PapaGary said it's a scam. You could try clearing data for that particular browser in settings - apps and see if it makes any difference.
