Hey guys I'm having a problem with my Galaxy S5 and post on here since Verizon is no help. So when I make or recieve a call now I can hear what the person is saying to me but they can not hear me at all. I tried putting it in speaker mode but still no luck. The weirdest thing is though I can record a video on my phone and when I play it back I recorded everything I said. Thanks in advance guys. Just wondering what to do.

Welcome to Android Central! How about with a wired or Bluetooth headset? Can they hear you that way?

Maybe try to use a straight pin to clean out the bottom mic. Or could be that you''re inadvertently covering the bottom hole with your pinky finger during calls.

If I plug in a pair of headphones with a microphone on it it does work then.

It does sound like there's a problem with the phone's primary mic, although I would have expected it to work on speakerphone, since that typically uses the secondary mic (near the top of the phone). Have you already tried cleaning out the mic opening, as suggested by rokemsokem?
