I have an S5 from Verizon. The update ran but I didn't have enough space so it failed. I then cleared a lot of memory, did a factory reset, and THEN checked for updates. Phone said it was already updated even though it was still on 5.0. Tried all the other tricks I could find:
-moved date forward by several days, checked for update again - nothin'
-downloaded Kies 3 to my PC to use for update - Kies said phone had latest firmware
-used Verizon's update assistant that loads when you plug the phone into the PC -- said up to date
Finally went by Best Buy to chat with the Samsung rep there. They said they didn't have it available as Verizon had made changes several times since Samsung gave them the update so the latest one wasn't available.
Major pain in the butt. I guess I'll wait IMpatiently for the update to show up again OTA.
