    Download Samsung Kies or Smart Switch, install on PC, plug in phone, access phone and move pics over.

    Samsung Kies is unsupported and risky. It stores backups as 1 impenetrable file that, if anything goes wrong during the restore, you lose everything. I don't know if it also has photo backup features, I only used it once and got burned hard.

    Smart Switch at least backs up as separate files, but if you want to manually manage just photos and videos, I'd connect your phone to your computer, go to My Computer, and open the phone directly there. Your photos are stored in the DCIM folder.

    I agree with Feldon. When you connect via USB, swipe down the notification panel, tap the USB icon, and make sure it's set to MTP first.
