    I'm using a Verizon S5.

On Lollipop I could watch everything on Youtube in max quality with no buffering. Since I got Marshmallow my phone buffers 80% of the time just to watch stuff in 720p. The Speedtest app still shows the same speeds I had before...

I tried resetting my router, forgetting my wifi, clearing my cache partition, resetting all network settings, connecting through WPS, and toggling airplane mode. If there is a safe mode on this phone, then I don't know how to find it. Does anyone have any ideas for how I could fix my Wi-Fi functionality?

Welcome to the forums. Did you clear the cache in recovery?

Yeah I tried that. A full factory reset is the only thing that helped me in the end
