My s5 just went to the low battery (5%) and shut off. The "plug and outlet" icon came up and then the phone shut off. I plugged it in and it wont turn on at all. Its a total paper weight. I tried all of the holding 2 and 3 button combos to try and bring it back and no glory. I took my wifes battery and tried it. Still nothing. short of a new phone are there any other things that I can try? I removed the battery and held the pwr button for a minute and left the battery out for an additional 30 mins and still nothing. a few days ago I updated to the latest OS

Welcome to Android Central! The fact that you've already tried a different battery suggests that it's a problem with either the Power button or the motherboard. But try inserting the original battery and keeping the phone plugged into a wall outlet for 24 hrs, undisturbed. Then try powering on again.
