Scary story - S5 fixed too late!

A few weeks after the Tmobile Lollipop upgrade on my S5, my "back" and "recent/menu" buttons stopped working, no matter what settings fixes I tried. Someone here suggested a 3rd party app that gave me my "back" button, but any app that didn't have a built-in menu button was still unusable. Then a few days after the Marshmallow upgrade, my S5 started rebooting randomly, whether it was doing anything or not. I tried all suggestions for this too, but nothing worked. Totally frustrated, I bit the bullet and got an S7 about two weeks ago -- which i'm happy with. But last night, I fired up my S5 (now minus its sim card) to find some leftover audio files and was presented with a Tmobile upgrade. When it was done, both of those buttons were lit and functioning perfectly! And in the 4 hours it was turned on, it did not reboot on its own once! So now I have two great phones that work well, and I'm only out lots of $$$.

How long ago did you get the 7? If within 2 weeks, you should be able to return it.
