Trying to make a call involves pressing about 7 (virtual) buttons. Why not just one. Each time I am asked which sim I wish to use (dual sim) - I only ever tend to use one sim so surely an intelligent phone can work that out.
Similar with other operations. Everything seems to require an inordinate number of different steps rather than just performing the function.
Is this the phone or just clumsy software?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you only have one SIM inserted or two? If it only has one SIM, does it still prompt you?

For frequently called numbers, I like creating a folder on the homescreen full of Direct Dial widgets. It acts as my Speed Dial folder, so I just have to tap the folder to open it, then tap the contact, and it will dial with one touch. Make sure to use the Direct Dial widget, not the Contact widget (since the latter will always prompt you to select how you want to communicate with that contact).

Maybe you could give more examples of activities that require too many steps.
