How do I increase the screen visibility, besides increasing the brightness, on my Galaxy S5. Which settings are optimized. Thanks.

Yes, the screen washes out in bright sunshine. Thanks.

To my knowledge, there is nothing that software changes that can be done to remedy this.

This. That is just Samsung's auto brightness that kicks in really high for direct sunlight.

Are you saying that I shouldn't have the brightness turned all the way up? Thanks.

No. I'm just saying that if you cant see the display well under brighter light, there is nothing that can be done.

Make sure, also, that your settings are set to "adaptive brightness"

Settings > Display > Screen Mode > Adapt Display (this is where I find it, yours may be in a different place)

I never have problems in bright sunshine.

I finally had a chance to try your settings. It really improved the visibility. I had the brightness turned up and off automatic. Checking brightness as Automatic did the trick. Thanks.
