Galaxy S5 - inability to change text message signature

I have a signature on my Galaxy S5 text messages. I would like to change this signature, but it won't let me. I don't even have the signature settings on, and it is still adding my signature. I know the standard settings for adding, changing and deleting a text message signature on a Samsung Galaxy S5, but it just isn't working. Please don't explain the standard ways of doing this - I already know them and they aren't working.

Any suggestions for some hidden settings that I can use to get rid of this signature, or change it?

Welcome to Android Central! What's the signature? Does it seem like a default sig, or is it something you created a while ago, but persists even after trying to turn it off?

Also, can you confirm that you're using the stock Messaging app, or some 3rd party app?
