Sorry if this is in the wrong the place.

For a couple days now, my phone has been charging at 300mAh and drawing 450 when on battery. The charger also disconnects and reconnects intermittently. As a result, it only charges, very slowly, while turned off. I've also noticed it seems to lose charge quicker than usual, but I'm used to it being plugged in 24/7.

It isn't the cable, or any apps. I've tried multiple cables including Samsung's own, cleaning the port, booting to safe mode, charging from a PC - it's about to die.

The only thing I haven't tried is a new battery. I'm not 100% sure on how it works, but don't batteries hold the charge circuit, not the phone? Is there some way for me to charge the battery outside the phone, and then swap them in and out?

If it makes any difference, It's the G900F variant, Knox is tripped, I'm in the UK, and I can't afford to pay someone for repairs (but I can do smaller things myself)

Honestly I just need it to hold out for another couple months, however ugly the fix is.

    Thank you for your time!
