Boot Screen Shows "Custom" and an unlocked padlock

Help? What has happened to my phone? Turned it on this afternoon and I see this different bootscreen with Custom at the bottom over an unlocked padlock. Never rooted or flashed anything. In "about phone", status says official. Knox says custom sdk but that's all I can find and I don't even know what that is. My phone is a g900v on latest firmware and security update. Lots of apps are force closing past couple of days. Is this thing toast? I'm totally afraid to even use it now as I dont know what is going on with it.

I had something similar happen with my S7 Edge a few months ago. I rebooted the phone into recovery mode and cleared the cache. After restarting. the phone has been great since then.

Restarted and still there. Maybe a bad update.
