Why doesn't my Galaxy S5 have a tethering/ mobile hotspot option?

I Googled my question expecting to ride someone's coat tails and get an answer, but I seem to be the only one with this problem or at least that cares about it. It's just not there. I go to Network connection in the Settings and there's no option for hijacking your phone's Internet. I've looked everywhere in settings at this point, but to no avail. It was a brand new phone so no possiblity of restoring to a default setting. Any ideas would be appreciated...even stupid ones lol

Hi and welcome to Android Central. You will need to contact your carrier and get an appropriate data plan that includes mobile hotspot.
