Hello.

Rooted it about 2 years ago because I didn't like the lollipop firmware upgrade back then when it came out fresh, and I went back to KitKat via flashing with ODIN. I haven't done any firmware upgrades since then, and just used the phone normally.

Yesterday my battery died and when I charged it and tried to turn on the phone, I got directly into this recovery mode :

"Reboot system" option doesn't work, "wipe cache partition" doesn't work.

I can't access the phone with my USB cable, the mtp drivers usually fail to install, Samsung Kies doesn't recognize the phone. I CAN get into download mode, Odin recognizes the phone.

Could I try flashing Firmware with Odin or will it delete all my data as well?

Is there any way to save my data? If I were to factory reset it, are there any programs that could recover deleted data with any reliability? Contacts, photos, apps, etc.

Thanks for any help.
