Galaxy S7 active in the works?

Really doesn't surprise me that they are working on an S7 Active. Even though the S5 was IP67, there was still an S5 Active and an S5 Sport.

My guess is mid June for release date based on history though.

S6 Active - Launched 12 Jun 15

Would it be possible to use a really strong plastic for the display instead of glass? I've always preferred the Active series as well as Xcover and Rugby, but thin glass on a heftier body irked me more than anything.

I'm pretty sure plastic scratches easier than glass...which is why we're on Gorilla Glass 4 or 5. The problem is that they're focusing on scratch resistance and not so much impact resistance. I wish more manufacturers would take the Motorola approach and make something that is meant to be dropped. People would stop investing so much in cases and tempered glass screen protectors and just enjoy their $700+ investments without worrying about shattered screens.
