Is it safe to root a Samsung S6 Active phone?

AC Question

There are programs I can use to root the S6 Active, but when reading about the process, it appears I can void the warranty and actually damage the phone's ability to perform. Does anyone know how dangerous this is?

you risk the chance of bricking the phone and in most cases rooting a phone will void the warranty. I have bricked a couple of phones but was fortunate to have been able to restore 1 of them. I think the S6 active also has Samsung Pay which would not work anymore if you root it. Try this app which only works on Samsung phones. Package Disabler Pro. I think it costs $1.99 but it works great to freeze things you don't want to use
