Hi! My dad's Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus opens for the first time a virus page saying viruses were detected on his phone. It's his Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. This happened when i browsed a best site. Is really my dad's Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ has a virus? Here's the images i recorded from my original Samsung Galaxy S6:

No, it's a popup ad designed to scare you into installing an "antivirus" app that probably is malicious. Stay away from that website to avoid the popup. Or is it opening up all the time now, regardless of the site you visit? If so, then go to the browser's privacy settings and clear the browsing history and cookies "from the beginning of time." Then go to the Settings>Apps menu (in the system settings), select the browser, and clear its app cache/data. Now see if the problem persists.

Run an antivirus program (your choice, the big name antiviruses are all good) and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Also run an anti-popup app. If those don't clear the Trojan (that's what the popup telling you that the phone has a virus is) out of the phone, your only option is to reflash the ROM. (If you have to do that, make sure that you have Google Sync enabled, or you'll lose the contacts, apps, etc.)

Can you confirm that you already tried clearing the browser history and cookies from the beginning of time, and also cleared the app cache/data in Settings>Apps? I never saw a specific response to that.

Also, as mustang7757, is this Chrome you're using, or the Samsung Internet browser? It's helpful if you respond specifically to questions that we pose, thanks.

I'm using Chrome 85 on my dad's phone. Chrome is the best browser that almost all persons use.

Problem was fixed already when I responded lol.

Resetting the Google advertising ID is also something that can help with these pop up and redirect problems on the web browser.
