Email app on my Galaxy S6 Edge+ is set to sync every 15 minutes but doesn't, why?

I have to manually open the email app for new emails to come through even though it is set to sync every 15 minutes in settings. I have delete my email account and added it back on and still doesn't work.

Are you using any battery save mode?

This is true for Yahoo email using the stock email client, unfortunately. Gmail and Hotmail are pushed...you get synched emails almost immediately.

Which e-mail app are you using? With Yahoo and others you can just add it to your Gmail account and you won't have that problem.
