Skullcandy Buds 2 Losing Connection with Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus

I can connect the Buds 2 to my phone. It pairs pretty easy and sounds great--as long as the phone is literally no more than an arms length away. Once I put the phone into my pocket to go a for a run, simply go for a walk, leave a 2 foot radius of the phone, it loses connectivity and powers off. I have to power it on again, but still have the same issues.

I have unpaired all other Bluetooth connections, turned WiFi on, turned WiFi off, tried everything I could think of. It works fine with a co-workers LG phone--no issues.

It worked GREAT for 3 months, but in the last two weeks, it has given me the issues above. Is there a setting I need to turn on / turn off? Is there an update coming for my Samsung? (BTW, all apps--everything--is up to date). Seems odd that it was working perfectly fine one day, and then nada the next.

Anyone got any ideas?
