Anyone ever tried apps from the Play Store to fix screen burn-in?

Hopefully with any success? I have the text from the bootup animation burned into the screen (my own fault) and wanted to see if anyone had any recommendations. Thanks!

How long did you have that sitting there to create burn on a Amoled screen?
I think the apps that promise to fix the burn simply burn the rest of the screen. I can't see it being good for your phone.
