in my previous cameras, i seem to recall the ability to press a spot on the screen (where i'd like the focus to be focused at), and that single press would both focus ON that spot as well as activate the shutter release.
for some reason, on the S6 Edge, i can't find that functionality.
may i know if this functionality exists on our S6 Edge?
Do you happen to have tracking AF on. With that on you tap what you want to stay in focus for movement. With that off you can tap to focus on a spot you want like your talking about.
what i meant was that previously, i thought that i could tap on the spot on the screen where i would want the focus to be at, and with that SINGLE tap, it would BOTH focus at that spot AND snap the picture.
that is: that single tap both focuses AND activates the shutter release.
with the technique you wrote about, one would still need to press a SECOND press, which would be on the shutter release button.
I'm sure you can find a 3rd party camera app to do what you're asking. I seem to remember the Moto X series had this feature. I didn't like it as I would tap to focus and forget that it was going to take a picture automatically.
