S6 edge smoking hot

When outdoors my S6 gets extremely hot, almost too hot to hold. Had this phone for almost two months. Ongoing issue. Battery drain during these periods is almost elevated I assume to screen going to outdoor mode.

Your device may be defective. You should take it back to your provider and express your concern. It can be safety concern if something else happened like explosion (has happened before) and it's actually making you unable to use it. Ask for a replacement. I wouldn't accept repairs on it.

You can start by contacting support on the website and you may get it replaced on the mail. Whatever works for you.

BTW, I'm not saying I know about any S6 exploding, I'm talking about other devices in the past, due to battery malfunctions.
