New S6E question regarding "sync"

What does the quick action "sync" do ?
Sync what ?
I can set sync in the individual apps without a problem

That option allows you to disable (and enable) data sync altogether. Many disable sync of emails, fb, twitter, etc during sleeping hours or to preserve battery. This way, you wouldn't have to stop synchronization of each app individually.

So having this "off" would mean that I should not get any push email in Type Mail app, for instance ?
Because even with the "off" I still get push email and it appears all other push type notifications.

You can still go to each app individually and new data will still be refreshed. However, with master sync disabled, it will not automatically poll. You can see this when you go into Settings-Accounts, and see that all accounts show "Sync turned off".

PS : I should clarify that master sync only affects those accounts you have created under Settings-Accounts.
