Why does the brightness on my Galaxy S6 edge go down on its own?

Why does the brightness on my Galaxy S6 edge go down on its own.

~I HAVE IT WITH SPRINT IF THAT HELPS.

I DONT have auto brightness turned on but sometimes the screen looks very nice but on its own it just loses its brightness why is this can anybody help me?
