I sem to only get about 2 1/2 hours max screen on time before having to recharge. I have auto brightness on, and battery saver after 50%. What do you guys get, any suggestions on improving mine? Thanks

I was using all sorts of customized setups on my S6 with Nova, Zooper, theme from Samsung theme store, and I got better battery life with all that than you are right now. Then I switched back to using TouchWiz and battery life improved like 3x better. I get about 5 to 6 hours SOT and I have gotten over 15 hours if I don't use my phone as much during the day. Are you using TouchWiz or do you have a custom launcher? Check your apps to see if there's an app using most of your battery. And also check which apps are using more RAM. It can depend on the kind of apps you have on your phone and the way you use it.

This is a typical day for me. Touchwiz with a theme, auto brightness, BT and wifi always on (though not always connected), about 4 email accounts on push (gmail, exchsnge, outlook and icloud).

I use touchwiz, and a theme that turns the txt and phone menus background black. I will check on the RAM usage. But for the apps using battery it doesn't seem to show one going over 3%. I kill apps after I'm done with them so that they don't run all day. I do play a couple games, i have to imagine that's what is doing it. Clash of clans and boom beach
When i was on vacation i barely used my phone and it lasted multiple days.

I have trouble finding out what is using up the battery though. Under battery usage it will list the screen at the top, indicating it has used the most power, the phone will be almost dead, but the screen usage percentage will only be at 5%. Which makes no sense???
This pic is on a battery at 82%, but it will still look the same when the battery is at 10%. The percentages add up to like 20%, wtf?

Have you tried clearing up the cache partition? You wouldn't happen to have an app such as Clean Master or similar to clear RAM? I also think that any Antivirus of you have one could also have an impact on battery as it pretty much runs in the background the whole time. Having to many widgets on your homescreen could also impact it. If you don't have any of those things you might have to try a factory reset as last resort

I second this. Clear that cache partition once in a while. Do it after you update all your Play Store apps. Seems to work for me. Had to do that on my S5 as well once in a while.

4 hours screen time, 8 % battery left. So not to bad. I take it this is about average for most users.

I use 2 widgets, the clock/weather one that updates in a 6 hour cycle, and a wallpaper randomizer.

Hmm. Have you tried seeing how battery life when you're not using the wallpaper randomizer? That could also have an effect on your battery life.

So I guess the problem was the wallpaper randomizer. Always keep an eye on your RAM usage and which app uses more battery. Sometimes the things you think are causing the least problems could be actual cause.

I had horrible screen on time with my G4 getting less than 2 hours. Then I did a factory reset and installed only the apps I use and it improved my SOT to over 3 hours, just giving you an idea
