I've had a note 4 and now an S6, I would say it's a good upgrade, especially if you are looking for a smaller device. With the Note 5 and S6 edge + being revealed today, you never know the S6 and S6 edge might start going down in price too.

I love my edge. Two things to be aware of: I found it to be a little too slippery to use other without a case. That said, it's so thin that it isn't bulky even with a case (first phone I've ever used with a case).
Also, if you are coming from a large phone like a Note then you are going to get worse battery life. The Edge battery life is good for its size - pretty comparable to the iphone 6. But just as that is shorter than the iP6+, so too is the S6 shorter than the Note series. That's something which people who complain about the S6 battery life don't seem to understand.

Love my edge, great design, great camera, good software, fast (most of the time) there are occasionally hiccups and redraws when to many things are going on at once but overall great performance equal to or better then the note 4. The battery life will be much worse then on the note 4, no way around that. I think you will enjoy it though, my brother just recently made the upgrade and is glad he made the jump.

I jumped from the Note 4 to the edge s6 because of the smaller size and beauty of the phone. The large size of the note 4 made my hands hurt but I do miss the battery life on the note 4.

Love the edge and think it looks amazing. Don't really care if the edge doesn't have no good features it to be looks and feels great. My battery is great and I easily get 4 hours SOT even 6 if need be however they should have put a 3000 battery in as not everyone is as lucky. I think if it was abit thicker it would have made the edge.stand out even more.

You pay an extra $100 for the s6 edge. If I didn't have to lay $35 to swap the phone out I would. My advice to people, get the memory for the extra $100. I still might swap it out and get the s6 128 gig version for the same money I spent for the 64 edge.

Shame on Samsung for putting the s6 edge out there and charge $100 more for it. The edge is pretty much useless, you can't even use the my friend swipe deal unless on lock screen or home screen, I can't get the notifications to show on the edge when the screen is off, always says no notifications.

You know, unless I find I'm doing something wrong, it might be worth the $35 to get the 128 s6 version.

I had the Note 4, great device, but I now have the S6 Edge. I am usually looking to upgrade around the 90 mark to anything new.
I have NO desire to get rid of the S6 Edge. LOVE LOVE LOVE the 5.1 screen, it's nice not having a phablet.
AT&T recently did an update, have No idea what happened, other than the stage fright fix, but my battery life is now double what it was.
Before update it would use 40% over night while I slept. Now, it uses 3%
Before update, I would get home with 25-30% battery left. Now I get home with 60% left.

The phone feels Great in the hand, it does NOT lag like people keep saying. I don't clear cache or any of that crap other people swear they have to do, the phone was delivered April 9th and it's just as fast and perfect today as it was coming out of the box.
Have never done any reset of any kind. This phone is SO friggen fast, ZERO LAG, Samsung's Touchwiz is outstanding on the S6.
It's the first time EVER, that I didn't cover up touchwiz within 24 hours of getting a Samsung device.

I work for apple, I am would like to say I am not a Samsung fanboy, but it looks like that's what I have become....
Anything prior to the S6 (including the Note 4) to me was basically disappointing lag machines. ( I heard the note 4 lag was fixed with 5.0 tho)
I didn't own the note 4 long enough to see lollipop on it.
The S6, S6 edge, S6Edge + and Note 5 all look fantastic to me. but the 5.1" screen is PERFECT.

I will agree that the s6 edge is fast.

My biggest complaint is the edge function. If you don't mind how the s6 feels in your hands I would probably go with that. Samsung dropped the ball in using the edge as the functions the edge gives you is not worth the $100 premium.

If your a note edge user, do not expect anything near the edge benefits in the s6.

I am enjoying the feel and smaller size from the note series though.

If you go get the edge make sure you test it out during your cooling off period, make sure it doesnt overheat and make sure the battery isnt a dud as these are the problems quite a few people mention on here.

    For me, it's ok.

I was, and still am disappointed that the S6 phones are not water resistant like the S5 was. I'm of the opinion that ALL phones should be water resistant. It shouldn't be an oooh-ahhh option. It should be as standard as a camera or speakers on a phone.

Everyone gets caught out in the rain every now and then, or is the victim of a spill, or a pool throw, or just forgets. Nowadays phones are too expensive and too important to people to NOT be water resistant.

I like my S6 Edge but don't love it.

The screen and camera are class leading. Really, you will not find better out there.

However, in typical Samsung style the software experience isn't great. Besides being a little outdated with touchwiz, I find it buggy. Bluetooth doesn't work properly - cuts out, doesn't read my texts half the time. Other issues are poor memory management and redraws. My 2 year old M7 feels smoother. Samsung fail to understand that lags, pauses and bugs are a reminder each time that you're using a 'computer' rather than having a good experience on a companion device that enhances your life. It's workings should be invisible. Technology should just work and unfortunately only Apple seem to be chasing that objective.

Nope. I'm done with the S6 edge's tiny battery and terrible power management. I just talked Sprint into letting me return this thing, and resetting my contract so I can get something better. I'd even consider the Note 5 just because of the reports saying they've fixed the power management issues that are hampering the S6/S6 Edge. I really hope Samsung starts listening to it's customers, and ignoring their moron designers that thought this icrap copycat was going to fly.

I am really glad I came across this thread. I thought I was set on buying the upcoming Moto X, but with possible price drops on the S6E, it may now be within my reach at my budget. If I can find one for $500, I'll definitely pull the trigger.

Great phone. I came from an iPhone 6plus. The battery is fine. You just need to understand its limitations and get it on the charger more often if it is a day of heavy usage. It charges fast so you don't need to leave it on charger very long. Ergonomically I love this size although I like big phones too. I give it A++

Just got my edge a couple days ago. My first android phone in a few years. Gotta say I'm loving everything about this phone. The curved edge make this phone nice to look at, however, I'm not getting much use out of them.

I generally like it. Still getting used to some samsung things like the apps not sorting automatically.

I came from LG3 and miss the knock code and on screen buttons but overall the phone still looks fantastic. I liked the LG3 and it had a bigger screen but side by side there is no comparison.

Battery life is fine during the workday especially with my wireless charger at my desk keeping it topped off. However on plane flights or other extended times being out of charge I really miss thr swappable battery. I carry an anker with me but it's not the same.

With the right case this phone feels really good. Given its thinness a slim case keeps it a slim phone while giving you some grip.

i really feel good with s6 edge. design and ergonomy is perfect. also my phone is gold colour. i think its the best colour for s6 edge. sometimes it looks like silver, sometimes like gray.
the battery is on avarage. not so good and not so bad. you can keep small powerbank with you for intensive use.

My Edge lags ALL the time! It sometimes takes 10 seconds + for some apps to open, it's very annoying since this phone was supposed to be so fast.
