LG Urbane will not stay connected to Samsung Edge Plus

Apologies if there is already a post on this. I have the LG Urbane smartwatch and for some reason it will not stay connected to my Samsung Edge Plus...very frustrating. I am able to pair the two but immediately after pairing when I look at the watch it says it is disconnected from the Samsung. Is anyone experiencing similar problems with this or other smartwatches connecting with the Edge? Any help would be appreciated.

Got the 6 edge and urbane with no problem At all

I had to do a factory reset of the watch and now it works. However, I can't get text messages to pop up on the watch for some reason.
