How can I get predictive text working?

Predictive text not working

I am using the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and have had several Galaxies in the past. The other phones would predict what word I would type next, so I didn't have to enter all of the words manually. This phone doesn't do that, although it does try to guess which word I'm currently trying to enter. I'm using the Swype keyboard, just as I used to on other models. Does anyone know why this feature isn't working?

Have you tried going to Settings -> Language and input -> Samsung keyboard -> Predictive Text and making sure that is on? There are also a number of features underneath this menu as well to customize the Predictive Text further. I hope this helps!

Hi - I just did this and it worked...go to
1. Settings
2. Language and input
3. Language
4. Pick English (United States)

Then it downloaded English United States version and the predictive text started working....hurray!!
