Are you upgrading to something else? To the S7 or the G5? Or will you wait it out for more phones this year? If you aren't, why not? Is the S6 edge still good enough for you?

I have the S6 edge. And I think I'm not going to upgrade to anything soon. I don't think I need to. This phone is still perfect for my use. Although I wouldn't mind android 6 to come sooner. Have the 925i version so God knows when the update might come. Or maybe even not.

I just got my S6 Edge in December due to my killing my GS5 I'm still very happy with the S6E so I probably won't be upgrading anytime soon.

Unless my phone suffers some catastrophic damage, I see no reason to upgrade or replace my 925I as it serves my purpose well.

My phone has a better camera and I haven't had the need for extra storage and don't expect that to change either.

While the larger battery capacity of the new phone is enviable, my 2600mAH still lasts for many hours in most days, and I can always plug in when at work or at home.

S6edge is far better then s7edge. Advantage s7 have is better camera, bigger battery and memory slot. Also in black it looks beautiful. But still its not enough to push me for upgrade. My 925f is rooted knox intact and it runs far better and longer then any phone in market.

I respect you not wanting to upgrade but man you can't say that the S6 edge is "better" than the S7 edge. I mean, they have improved everything. It's just a matter of "how much" they have improved.

And again I have to disagree. There are phones with far better battery life in the market.

S6 have 16 mp camera s7 have 12mp with new lens and better picture in dark.
S6 battery is 2600mhz s7 have 3000mhz.
S6 have three variants 32 64 128gb s7 only comes in one size 32gb with memory card slot for upto 200ggb
So in a way s6 still a winner

New Edge is too big for me, so no. I love the phone except battery life, but fast chargers mitigate that downside significantly.
Hopefully Marshmallow comes soon to my Verizon phone and it works smoothly with all the new Edge features.

Not sure I want another Samsung phone. Their idea of upgrading the operating system on your phone is selling you a new phone by holding back the upgrade for the older phone. I'm tired of the poor/sporadic battery life on my S6. If I buy another android it will be something more akin to a OnePlus or another brand like that. Those guys provide a lot of features for little money and make it easy to get upgrades.

This is very true. And I think I'll do the same. But I'm not sure how I can let go of this camera. Samsung sure does have the best cameras. And I take pictures regularly.

I went from my note 4, to the lg v10. While the v10 is a wonderful phone, I couldn't get used to the power and volume buttons being on the back. Very inconvenient. And the shear bulk was to much to bear. So I got a new 128GB S6 edge and very happy with it except for the battery life. When the S7 broke on the 11th, I went down to test drive one. Even though they look ALMOST like identical twins, the S7 is more refined, with a bit better build, and felt so much better. Its also a tad bigger. Not enough to make it bulky, but just enough to make it easier to read and enjoy. All this plus the 3600 mah battery and SD CARD EXPANTION(YES), its a no brainer. Since my Verizon store was jammed with people waiting to get one, i came home and ordered online. Had it the next day. Now I still use my S6 edge when I'm doing work around the house or on short errands, but most of the time its the S7 edge and loving it. If you're happy with the S6 edge, and its living up to your expectations, then definitely stay with it. Its a wonderful handset. And It will be getting the marshmallow update soon which will give it the edge screen of the S7 edge. That you'll love. Then when the S8 enters our world next year, you can upgrade then. BY THE WAY, AS I STATED THE S7 EDGE HAS A 3600 MAH BATTERY. THATS 1000MAH MORE THAN THE S6 EDGE. ITS THE PLAIN S7 THAT HAS THE 3000 MAH BATTERY.

Yes I think you're right on the money. The s7 and the s7 edge are really good phones. But the S6 and the S6 edge aren't bad either. I guess whatever phone you get nowadays is a good one. Depends on your preference.

The phone game is getting kind of boring. LG bringing interesting to the table but I don't think it's going to do very well for them this year. Apple, well they might do something interesting this year but I highly doubt that.

Htc on the other hand might pull something from the grave. I'm excited about the m10

Apple? Is the iPhone still around? Lol. Even though I'm a huge android fan, we're a total mac household. So my kids and wife all have iphones and I understand why. Especially my son who is a Hollywood composer. You've got to have mac, or you won't be working in the music or movie industry. My philosophy on the iPhone is that its a 2 year old andtoid. But the road Apple is taking will put the iPhone 3 years behind by the time the next new iPhone is released.

Hahahaha yes I think you're right. But to be honest, even though I don't approve of Apples software philosophy, their OS is definitely very smooth and reliable. And I know the OS itself is not at all flexible and I kind of hate it very much but it IS smooth and reliable I have to give them that.

With android, beside the nexus, oneplus and moto line up, nobody has been able to achieve the fluidity of the iPhone. I wish Samsung, which is the biggest competition to Apple, make some major changes to their software. And soon. Because they provide the best hardware but in my opinion the least creative software.

Yes the software experience on the s7 is miles better than what it used to be. But still, stock android and Samsung's take on android is miles apart. Yes some might like Samsung even more. I for one like it equally. But when it comes to fluidity and reliability, stock android is way cooler.

Stock android on Samsung hardware is what I'm going to wait for next. Until then, my next phone will most definitely be a Nexus.

Upgrading S6 model SM-920l to S7 US version.
Samsung Pay on US version top reason. I & many others were mislead thinking the unlocked SM-920I had Samsung Pay, so one last chance Samsung!
Other top reasons to upgrade, Ram-4G, always on display (former moto X user), expandable memory, a better camera and waterproof.
Really sounds like Samsung got it right with the S7.
Cons: non-removable battery & of course high price.

I WON'T BE UPGRADING AFTER ALL. THE S7 TOOK AWAY THE IR BLASTER!!! Sadly, A major deal breaker for me. I use IR blaster for my complete home theater system and AC units. Can't live without
