S6 edge sleep and home button acting up

[AC Question]

My sleep and home button are acting really strange. Sleep button randomly stops working where it wont put the phone to sleep or wake it up but if I try force restarting the phone then it still works and it also turns the phone on as well. For my home button it does delayed functions where when I double tap the home button it will open up camera but like 10 minutes later. Any help would be much appreciated. Also, I already tried factory resetting the phone but it did not really help. I do not think it is physical damage because the sleep button still works when force restarting.

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Safe Mode, which temporarily disables all 3rd party apps. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-29226

If the problem disappears in Safe Mode, then something you installed is causing the problem. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. If the problem persists in Safe Mode, then it's more likely to be a hardware or firmware problem.
