Hey guys! I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S6 active last month, on AT&T (Obviously). My question is, coming from an iPhone 5S, i was able to have my yahoo e-mail pushed through, rather than fetched on a schedule. Is this possible in any way, shape or form on an android OS phone? I have my account right now to fetch every 15 minutes. I know, i can use the Yahoo mail app, i've tried it and don't really like it. Help!? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Android Central! Do you know if the Email app is using the Yahoo POP3 server or IMAP? If it's POP3, try changing to IMAP, using these settings: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN4075.html

Is there an option to set sync to Auto, instead of a specific time interval?

No, the nearest time available is 15 minutes. It's dissapointing coming from an iphone and having my email push. gmail pushes (auto sync), but not yahoo.

Try a 3rd party email client, like Aqua Mail. The FAQ suggests that IMAP push is possible with this app.
