What Android version is it on? Chances are that it's already gotten the highest official update. In order to go any higher, you'd have to root the phone and flash a custom ROM. The forums at XDA-Developers.com is a good resource for that kind of thing.

Hi B. Diddy,

Settings -> About device -> Software Info
Android Version - 7.0

Settings -> Software Update
The latest updates have been installed
Crrent version G9220ZHU2ERK2/G9200ZZH2ERK2/G9200ZHU2ERK2

When I tried to shoot photo on ZY Gimbal it asked to update firmware to above 1.60

Regards

People don't like hearing it, but your best option is a new phone.
I have Galaxy s9+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra phones here. Both works on ZY Smooth-Q Gimbal. In the past Galaxy S6 also worked on ZY Smooth-Q without problem. I just found this problem recently.

I have another Gimbal, DJI Osmo mobile 3. I'm prepared running Galaxy s9+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra phones on it.

I'm not sure what that firmware version number refers to. Is that the One UI version? Or is referring to the firmware for the gimbal?

Sounds like OP means ZY Gimbal app ?

Right, but I'm trying to figure out if the gimbal itself has some kind of firmware, or if it's referring to the phone's firmware. If it's the phone's, then I would assume it's referring to One UI 1.6, but I can't find any record of a version 1.6 for One UI on the web.

S6 never had one UI so it rules that out

Hi B. Diddy

I have a newer gimbal, DJI Osmo mobile 3, but my Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra couldn't work on it. Eventhough Galaxy S9+ is in its compatibility List.

Galaxy S6 can work on DJI Osmo mobile 3 gimbal. It looks quite funny to me.

Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra can work on ZY Smooth-Q gimbal.
