Don't you have to input your credit cards into Apple Pay just the same?

But of course. But that doesn't mean that you can now use it everywhere in the US.

Unlike with Samsung pay, with Apple Pay, Apple has to now not only get larger corporations to sign up but now install the NFC readers too so that you then can use it. This process is still slow going and not all businesses will have the readers installed anytime soon.

Then you have the smaller family owned stores and franchises that might not want to invest money to add the readers.
At least here in the US, any business that takes credit cards is already able to work with Samsung pay right away.

That could possibly explain why its not going live until summer or possibly fall. MST should be less of an issue?

I'm going to wait until maybe first quarter '16 to decide whether or not Samsung Pay is really taking off and useful. I'm sure the Note series will have it.
