Personally, removable battery doesn't matter to me. First, I have Jump, so when I want to upgrade, I just give them back the phone. There aren't any restrictions as I've turned in a Galaxy S5 that was obliterated and they did not care. Second, More than 50% of my day is spent in areas with access to a charger (work, school, home). I always know if I'm going out that night or not, so it's not hard to plan ahead and top off before going out....

The SD card is.... only mildly concerning. It just means I have to use a cable to transfer data.... Considering the only thing I'll need to transfer is songs onto my phone-- not much of a big deal. Since they're offering the phone in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB I'm not really even concerned about that.... 64 or 128 will be more than enough room for me. (I'm glad they finally realized how much of a joke 16GB is..... +1)

The only thing I'm completely against is the glass backing.... we've all seen what happens there. As Stephen King said, everything's eventual.

I think they did well finally changing the setup around and giving people a different set of choices. I absolutely LOVE the replacement of the headphone jack! It's not like the S5 is going to disappear or become unavailable for those who aren't interested in the S6.... or, they can just wait until next April for the Next Big Thing...

All in all, I'm really looking forward to the S6!! I love my Note 4, but I'm ready to downsize. I miss carrying my phone conveniently, lol.

I'm not a heavy user but I do have two batteries for my S5 - mainly due to the fact that I broke the battery cover off after 8 days of having it and like to swap the batteries around from time to time. I have learnt how to be very gentle with the cover now so don't swap the battery every time it goes flat.

Since Lollipop came along my batteries last just about one day with moderate use. A lot less with some time spent Web browsing or looking at this forum.

I am not a heavy user. I just like to use my phone for what it is designed for. I like to have certain apps tell me certain things at my choosing. I do not see the point in having all this technology available and not using it because it drains the battery. If I wanted a phone to be just a phone then I'd spend £15 on a Nokia 113.

Also, I have a 128gb SD card which I have music and movies on. The cloud does not work very well on trains when I have no data connection so having expandable storage is a must for me.

So now the S6 has no SD card and no removable battery. It's a no go for me. Just been to have a look at the Note4 and that is the phone I'll be getting in June when my contract is up.

Samsung seem to be pandering to the Apple crowd and the Apple obsessed technology press whilst pissing off their loyal customers. If they carry on in this vain the Note4 will be my last Samsung Phone.

I used to have a 128GB SD card in my S5 and used 64GB cards in my note 3 and S4, so I know what it's like to carry around a load of junk lol However you can still do that with the S6 you just need to get the 128 GB version. I have a 128GB iPhone 6 plus so I can still store all of my stuff. If I get the S6 edge I'll be getting the 128GB of that.

I think that they will. I think that it's the way that they are going to move forward. Unless there is a massive backlash I can't see them going back to the removable battery and SD card.

Since the G2 didn't have the removable battery or SD Card but the G3 did, I bet the G4 continues with both.

Until your battery goes into thermal runaway and instead of dropping the battery out of the phone, you watch the phone melt. Or the phone gets wet and by the time you break the back off and unplug the battery, it's too late and the phone is doomed.

So would I. Unfortunately, Google is going the other way - getting rid of them.

or a year or two down the road you want to sell your phone, and the battery can't hold a charge and you lose $200-300.

or when you need to pop in a 10000mAh battery for a long trip with now power supply.

worst part, it doesn't have to. Samsung could have release two variates, one with functionality, one with looks.

If Note 5 turns out to be like s6, note 3/4 will be the last samsung smartphone I own.

Doesn't seem to be hurting apple, and others too much. Resale is super high for those with their non-removable battery.

Samsung went back to the drawing board to try and fix everything everyone complained about and yet people still complain. The only thing I am iffy about is the battery, which hopefully it holds up. If nothing else, I am sure the note will follow similar design as the s6 with a much larger battery.

I'm one of those people. Never had a need to swap in my S5.

In your S5?!!! Not really a recommendation is it?! The S5 is only a year old. Give it time for the battery to die!!

Galaxy Alpha doesn't have removable battery, micro sd slot.

The Alpha DOES have a removable battery. Do your homework. It doesn't have an SD slot.

Did they do this test with a microphone up against the speaker of the phone? If they seriously did this test with the S5 with its speaker against a desk and the S6 with its speaker facing out, it's hardly discovery of the century that the unmuffled speaker was louder?!!!

In my opinion Samsung have shot themselves in the foot with this. I don't want a fashion item. I want a practical phone. Let's face it. There's nothing "sexy" about Touchwiz, new or old. By putting an iPhone body on the S6 they're effectively putting lipstick on a pig, and alienating the existing customer base. I'll hang onto my Note 4 and if they keep the removable battery on the Note 5 then I'll stick with them. I'm stuck with the Note 4 under contract for two years anyway. By the end of that period we'll see how people are faring with their two year old batteries in their S6's. If Samsung handle the replacement of batteries in the phone well, it's possible this may be a non issue. If, like I suspect, they've glued them shut, never to be reopened like Tutankhamen's tomb, then I'll be changing to a different manufacturer, as Samsung have decided then that the S6 is a disposable item with no resale value.

I think the HTC has a nicer interface. If Samsung have effectively gotten rid of their unique advantage, it opens up a whole new world of choice for me, now there's a level (self inflicted) playing field!

We have to remember that Samsung likes to make lots of handset and tablets. Think Alpha, Mega, Mega 2, etc. They could introduce a new model with removables. ...especially if the masses miss the removables on the S6 (which they won't).

I do still think the Note series will end up the "Pro" model, with removable batteries and storage. The S series will be the iPhone fighter. And then there will be the various budget (Avant) and specialist (Active) lines. That would make a decent amount of sense.

People hate too much on a non-removable battery. It's not that hard to prepare to have alternate power source if you think you'll need it.

Keep it simple....

All people want is place to whine about what they hate about [insert brand name here].

I like the repositioned rear speaker and the fact that screen size didn't go phablet. They slimmed down TouchWiz, improved the camera and processor. Would have liked 4gb RAM and 64gb as the lower end model.

I didn't mind it as much, but there were times I got annoyed by its location. And the location of the speaker of s5 IS bad. This is not a subjective matter. It is a bad speaker placement. About removal of SD there can be two sides of opinions and they are all based on people's preferences.
