My take on that would be that I'm carrying around a battery that's 30% more than I need...I'd rather have the smaller phone, use the battery to its near potential, charge at bedtime. My car has a charger in it at all times in case I need some extra power like if I'm going to a ball game that night or something.

You can prefer to think about it any way you want, of course. But, if draining below 40% damages the battery, then normal usage patterns (let's assume that's off the charger in the morning, then back on at bedtime) damage the battery, which is not good design.

I know that the battery will be sufficient for a good number of users, yourself included, but I am willing to guess that at least as many will find the battery insufficient for a full cycle of use (a day). Walk through an airport and look to see how many iPhone and Android users are sitting on floors next to outlets, or stuck tethered to a charge station (in the middle of the day). Why we find this sort of thing acceptable is beyond me.

For me it's simple, it's all about size, #1 criteria by a long shot for me. To be honest, the GS6 is still too big for me, but the best I could do given the current selections. I don't have my head buried in the thing all day like some do so almost empty by bedtime is fine. And as I said, I can top it off in the car if I anticipate heavier use, not much of a bother IMO. I think I could plan ahead if I'm going on a flight also and not having to charge like some do in the airports, so in that regard I'm with you.

Charge up the power bank. Throw in your backpack or carry on. You should be able endure any long flight.

I'm going to wait until the phone is released to make sure there isn't some special technology in it that isn't included in the current chargers, but I'm leaning towards this one: http://www.amazon.com/16000mAh-Port...ag=hawk-future-20&ascsubtag=UUacUvbUpU4306498

I trust Anker and I like the fact that it can output up to 3 amps to one device. Most external packs have a max of 2.1 amps per device.

Here are few i can suggest :

I use these for my phones (about 6 months already) and it is truly amazing product and it's cheaper than the competitor...

Beware of fake product though...

I don't know where to buy them in USA nor recommended online shop that's truly trusted that will sell original product.

A bad powerbank will ruin your battery (I've screwed my phone's battery once).

I have the 10400mAh so it depends on the battery capacity how many times it can charge.

For 2000 mAh it will charge 5 times.

There are lots of ways these devices start popping up about now such as store employees who get them as part of the training. TMO which is shipping preorder devices early could have them in the hands of their employees a couple of weeks ago.

While at Best Buy they showed me 2 Samsung power bricks that were made for the S6. I did not even look at them very close. Color Matching.

Are those powerbank brand "Samsung"? Because I haven't heard they produce powerbank so it could be fake. CMIIW

I bought the Zens wireless charging power bank. It's thin enough that I can put my phone and the Zens next to each other in my pocket and charge away.

I trust batteryuniversity.com much more than gorilla gadget, I have a 6400 mAh gorilla gadget battery, they sent me the wrong colored back! Now my phone has black front and white back, ridiculous! :D

I actually like that look. White back is cool and the black front makes it look like the entire front is screen, no bezel.
