Early S6 users, how's your battery life?

That's exactly what I'm suspecting too because this seems so wide spread with Lollipop. S5 users are having similar issue with 5.0 and it can't be old battery thing as it's less than year for most of them and I never had battery eroding noticeably within 2 years. Google and manufacturers really need to push out 5.1 or later version sooner than later.

I also agree that lollipop may be the cause. I have a T-Mobile S5 and literally a day after updating the OS, everything got buggy. I.E - super lag, battery drains almost 20% faster causing me to have to switch batteries sooner. If I'm in a game and open or close another app, my game will usually reset to the home screen. The Google voice function is insanely slow. Everything just seemed to turn into a giant hiccup when lollipop was introduced. T-Mobile already announced I believe a 117mb update for the S6... I'll see what happens when it arrives.

This is exactly what I'm expecting. According to my my experience with my previous 6 phones during past year, the worst battery life was the Moto X 2014, mostly due to the small battery (2300 mAh) and it always gave me 4-5 hours of SoT, so for me is impossible to think that Samsung with a higher 2600 mAh battery, with a lot better and power efficient Memory, processor and Display, even when the display is Quad HD, can give me less than what I was getting with the Moto X, at least should be even or a little bit better, but never worst.

With that in mind, and having the wireless charging and fast charging option, I'm not worried, if the Moto X got me through the day unplugging it at 5:30am, I can deal with whatever the challenges with the S6 Edge. But with your battery information above, I can see that you are clearly ready to get around 4.5 hours of SoT, just like I thought, others with less than this with similar usage must check the battery stats and/or install Gsam battery monitor and check this very closely.

That's with about 1.5h of screen time. That translates to 4.5h if run down to 1%.

I think Facebook is taking some toll on his stand by time. Will be better if FB sync is turned off.

FB sync is off. All of that time is from me browsing Facebook while also using YouTube and iHeart occasionally.

Back to the original postings. I don't think I've read 1 good thing about good battery life and lollipop in the same sentence since it dropped.

Well, not Sammy related, but since you said it -

"I get a good battery life on Lollipop".

But I have a Z3, so I got a good battery life on KitKat.

Seriously though, I've seen a definite 5-10% increase in battery life since I flashed the ROM 2 weeks ago, allowing for the inevitable early placebo effect.

That is respectable numbers for the usage. Don't listen to anyone that says otherwise.

Show us another as she is at 15% or less if you can please.

I'm keeping my eye on the S5, Note4, and here in the S6 forums. More and more posts of lollipop improving battery life substantially once they do a factory reset.

Thank goodness I don't participate in FaceBook, just a little more juice in the battery for other apps.

Do hard resets wipe out all your contacts, emails, texts, etc.?

Tossed it on the charger for about 10 minutes at 10%, went back up to 27%.

This is so far today.

20 min VoLTE call
10-15 texts
Multiple Web pages (~35+) and one YouTube video (video was ~1:30)
Auto Brightness
Had to resync my whole Google account due to a stupid passphrase issue with chrome
All syncs on for Google (calendar, email, etc. etc.)
About 45 mins of music over bluetooth so far from Google Music (streaming only, no caching, high quality)

This is my 2nd cycle.
