Which is a better wireless standard? PMA or Qi?

Is there any advantage/disadvantage to use a PMA wireless charger vs. a Qi wireless charger? Does one charge faster than the other?
I am assuming Qi is the more popular standard

Okay, mind changed. Qi is backed by WPC, while PMA is apparently backed by Power Matt company. So I say for the good of future, Qi should be supported.

btw, it seems their technical specifications are rather similar.

I can't speak to speeds or any technical details, but if your concern is being supported on more devices and to last longer, Qi is a safer investment. Then again, you can get PMA chargers for under $5 so that's what I'm going with.

I did some technical research on this and their charging speeds are the same but you want a 1 amp charger (many are less) for whichever one you choose. The only discernable difference between the two standards seems to be what frequency they operate at.
