power saving mode helps battery

Hi folks. The techy guy at Costco wireless tweaked some settings on my phone amongst them being power saving mode. Battery is much better now.

Curious how much better life are you getting? From the description, it seems to reduce CPU max (which probably doesn't matter much) but also frame rate, vibration and screen brightness (along with a few other minor things).

Stop giving me a hard time. I was just trying to help. I thought power saving mode was for when you were needing to really conserving it like out in the woods etc... I guess that is ultra power saving mode.

Understandable . Just saying the name implies it -- And most complaining have an issue with a bug (I get it sometimes with the "cell standby") where it causes abnormal drain .. even with power saving. Seems to be something up with wifi since I don't have it on mobile data.
