I want to transfer Music from my Mac Book Pro but my Samsung Galaxy S6 is not being recognised by Mac Book. Please advise.

The S6 should by default be recognized as an MTP device, allowing you to drag and drop the music files. You may want to check USB settings on the S6 to make sure MTP is enabled.

One way to keep things in sync is to get the Google Music Manager installed on your Mac and tell it to keep your iTunes folder in sync. Your phone can then sync wirelessly and automatically. This is what I do from my Windows 7 machine and it works great.

Just keep in mind that any copy protected iTunes (ie. FairPlay) music cannot be played on non-Apple devices.

    Best,
    Philip.

Google Music Manager works very well for getting music synced and sorted into android.

As for files in general there are other options. I've used an app for years to transfer files via wifi/browser. Works well and I can use it on other people's devices without installing anything. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...bsharing&hl=en

There are many different apps for bluetooth/wifi transfers.

I had the same issue. Ended putting what I wanted on a SD card and used a PC to transfer it over to the S6

My bluetooth on my new MacBook Pro will go through and give me the codes, etc, but then disconnects after a few seconds. I haven't had any success transferring any files yet. No music, I'm talking a jpeg and a couple of pdf files I needed. I ended up sending them to dropbox. But bluetooth should work and I'm not quite sure why it doesn't.
