Quick connect/Miracast/screen mirroring and Roku

As far as I could tell Miracast on Android 4.x, at least in Samsung devices or Kitkat, was broken. It would see compatible devices but the screen casting would often or always fail from my 4.4.2 tablet and my old S3. What a pleasant surprise when I tried the S6 Quick connect with my Fire TV and it worked really really well. HD video played smoothly. However Quick connect does not see the Roku 3 or the Roku Streaming Stick on my network, so I can't even try them out, whereas the broken version of Miracast/screen mirroring on my older devices does see the Rokus.
