    S6 Verizon Stock Lollipop. Even with only 1 app open, suddenly the app goes into half size and close all keeps appearing and disappearing.

    How can I get this to stop?

    You can try clearing the cache partition or calling tech support. This isn't normal behavior for the phone.

    If you can tolerate it do an FDR. That solves most problems. Running it back to that store is just a standard reply for some.

    Try cleaning the resent apps button real good. It might have something on the glass causing it to trigger the button.
    I'm sure you already tried this but just trying to think of most logical answer.
    The only thing that would cause that to happen that I can think of is by pressing the recent app button and if it's clean and your not accidentally pressing it then it points to a faulty capasative button wich is why I think 007 was telling you too exchange it right from the getgo.

    You've gotten at least half a dozen options. Try them and let us know. While you are doing that, more options from others will follow. Relax. It's stressful. We are jus trying to help. Clear cache partition. Factory reset. Call tech support. Return and exchange it. Do one or all,or none. It's up to you. Hope it works out. Sorry you are having this issue.

    Hang on there's an actual recent apps BUTTON on Samsung phones now? I remember them being in a drop down menu near notifications. Wow things really have changed since the S4

    Verizon tech support recommended I do a factory reset. I tried everything: cleaning cache, different launchers.

    They're switched. I think it started with the GS5. The other capacitive button is the back button.

    I can see this is going to be like having to get used to a whole new thing. The S2 and S4 only had the home and back buttons. Having been using my amazing six plus two things I missed from Samsung phones were the back button and the close all feature. The best thing about having an iPhone six plus and the Samsung galaxy s6 arriving tomorrow is I get to experience the best of both operating systems. I can't choose. There are some things I love more about android and other things I love more about ios

    Clear both the app storage cache and the cache partition. If it doesn't work, return it and get a new one. Good luck.

    The problem still exists after a factory data reset? Usually Verizon will send you a warranty replacement once you have exhausted all the troubleshooting options.
