Yes, I too would like to know if memory/RAM management gets any better with this update.

Lollipop 5.0 killed my Moto X 2014 and the same is happening on the GS6. Apps can't stay open and everything just grinds to a halt unless I restart the phone every few days.

Cell standby still hasn't been fixed. Soon as I reactivated VoLTE and Wifi Calling, it came right back. RAM management also has not been corrected.

As much as I hate iPhone, i'm about ready to switch back. It's been over 2 months since the launch of this phone and we've yet to see any fixes for these issues even after the 5.1.1 update. I could be wrong after some more use, but this update seems pointless.

I seriously hope the Memory leak, and Battery issues are fixed otherwise I will feel very stupid having switch from an iPhone to this.

How do you know this after having the phone updated for less than 12 hours?

I haven't found it yet, but going back to Sammobile video where they showed all the new features that were going to be included in this build, they did mention that they didn't find the Guest Mode but thy weren't sure if the final build was going to get it, it seems that they ended up not adding it.

Cell standby still hasn't been fixed. Soon as I reactivated VoLTE and Wifi Calling, it came right back. RAM management also has not been corrected.
RAM Management is still too early to see if it was fixed or not, what has been reported is just a couple of guys over XDA forum, they recon that it was better but they think it hasn't been fixed completely. Jury still out as they don't provide more details or mentioned if they Wiped Cache Partition or Factory Reset the phone, if they indeed this those and it still shows the behavior then something was still missing in Samsung's fix.

About VoLTE, yes, I can confirm that as soon as I set that back to On, Cell Standby begins to appear at my Battery stats, something that I don't see too often, but for me, it's a no issue because where I live, it hasn't been launched yet, so I always turn it off anyways, and Wifi calling, no need to turn it on unless you are going to use it, and in such case, just use the Quick Toggle to turn it on and off as needed.

Mine got stuck in an infinite boot loop. Did the 3 finger salute and waiting for the Samsung download to finish. I think mine is borked though. It's been on this download screen for about an hour now. :/

Yes I did and I find it hard to believe you can judge the RAM management so quickly.

Um no I have experienced it first hand. But instead of me just giving you my opinion, I linked you to the actual values and what other people have been experiencing as well.

Here's to holding out hope! I really do blame Lollipop for a lot of the grief on my phone(s).

You are well aware that this is totally T-Mobile's fault (cell standby with VoLTE and wifi calling) and has nothing to do with Samsung, right? So how many times have you asked your carrier to fix this blunder? Personally, I would be in the phone with them every day until they fix it. But that is just me.

    Memory is T-Mobile's fault?

    *edit*

I see you've edited to clarify. I'm already aware of T-Mobile role in the cell stand by issue. I've already contacted via phone and gone in store. There's really only so many times you can do that before you just give up and wait for an update to fix it. Luckily, we can bypass it for now although it requires disabling a few features. The aggressive memory management on the other hand is something we cannot bypass as easily. As you can see from the xda thread I linked, it requires a bit of work to change the values so that your apps aren't constantly closing. That is something Samsung must correct.

I just installed the update on my T-Mobile S6. The update took a few minutes to download at just over 600mb. After the update installed, I shut my device off and then cleared the cache partition. When I rebooted the phone after clearing the cache partition, I received a message asking if I wanted to send an error report because logs where gathered from the update. Looking at the about screen I am running Android 5.1.1 though. I reset my phone to the factory default state and everything seems to be working.

Both the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on T-Mobile are receiving an update today to Android 5.1.1. The build drops in as G920TUVU1AOF6 for the regular S6 and G925TUVU1AOF6 for the S6 Edge. The update also weighs in at 630MB and 635MB, respectively.

So what’s new? The only “new” feature is Google’s anti-theft protection for Android, which forces users to login to their Google’s accounts even after factory resetting. This step should make it quite difficult for those considering stealing your phone and then wiping it clean before either using the phone or re-selling it.

The rest of the update should fix who knows how many bugs from earlier builds of Lollipop. T-Mobile lists that the update improves the following:
Black boxes in email is resolved
    Camera LED flashlight is resolved
Check for Amazon error is resolved
Failed to reboot – error message is resolved
    Fingerprint scanner improvements
Various bug fixes and device improvements

I can’t help but think the bulk of that 630MB file is tied to that last bullet point.

A number of users are already receiving the update, so if you would like to pull it, head into Settings>About device>Software update.

I'm guessing there's no RAW or shutter speed support for the camera with this 5.1.1 update?? I've heard a couple people saying there is no raw but no one has said anything about the shutter speed. I'm on Verizon so I have to wait... Can someone please see if there are any camera changes?

As I have said in the past -- If it was specifically only a T-Mobile issue then why have AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint users also reported the "Cell Standby" bug -- I am not saying T-Mobile's version may not have issues .. Just saying Cell Standby isn't only on the T-Mobile variant.
