Why is so much RAM being used? I have an S6 , and within an hour or two after purchasing it, and before I even downloaded any apps my phone froze up. Had to turn it off, then back on. Asked the guy at ATT why and her checked the RAM and 89% was being used. He downloaded Samsung's Vitamins app and cleared the RAM. I am doing this several times a day, and it goes right back up to 84-89%. Can someone help ?

Don't worry about it. Android handles RAM differently than Windows. It's normal, desirable behavior for RAM to run around 75-85% full, maybe even a little higher.

Let Android handle things as intended. It will automatically optimize operation if you let it.

Android since v1.0. Linux since 2001.

Ok thanks. Thats a relief. Thought there was something wrong cause the guy at ATT said it was strange.

I disabled some of the apps that I don't use, and today is the first day my battery has lasted this long. Plugged it in last night, unplugged at 8, and it's been 12 hours.
