So i know people are going to think it's wierd that i use the original music app that came with the phone, and not spotify or something. But i'm waiting for apple music to release later this fall for android, so that's the reason for anyone wondering (the rest of my family has Apple devices and have already paid for the family membership).

So in the meanwhile i decided to add some music from iTunes (i had an iPhone 5 previously) using smart switch, which worked fine. But when i tried to open the music app to listen to some music, and the app automaticly closed. (Note that it didn't shut off completely, it was still in the "recently used apps" menu). So i tried reopening it and start a song, and it closed again. So i restarted my device and the same error continued to happen. The app was unusable. I then cleared my cache using Droid optimizer and it still didn't work.

Also note that for whatever reason the android 5.1 update haven't come to Norway yet where i live, so i'm still running 5.0.2, dunno if this issue was solved in the new update though. Anyone know if it was solved in 5.1? Or any help at all? (Sorry if i did something wrong posting, first time using the forums)

Oh and just noticed now that that the phone randomly changed back the wallpaper to the original one. The home button also makes a rattle and is loose. The battery life is also worse than expected, a bit early to say, but almost wose than my old iPhone 5. I'm seriously thinking of sending this phone back, or getting a replacement or something.

One has nothing to do with the other. If you completely kill an app, it's still the most recently used app, so it's still at the bottom of the list. It's a list of recently used apps, not currently running apps. (The reason it will open from that list as if it had still been running is because that's how Android works - apps are responsible for maintaining their current state because, unlike Windows, Android can kill any app at any time with no warning. (Windows actually asks an app if it has permission to close it - which is where that "xxx is preventing a restart" or whatever that wording is. The app was asked to close and said no.)

If it's purchased music, it's because of the DRM protection - it only plays on the device it was purchased for. (You're not buying the music, you're buying a license to play it on a single device.)

If not, it could be a format that the app can't handle and causes the app to crash. "Music" isn't a data format. mp3 and aac are data formats. Some apps can't play some formats. There are free players in the Play Store that can play almost everything.

Probably not, because it's probably not a ROM issue.

Nothing wrong - asking questions is what the forum is for.

The wallpaper could be a software problem. The rattling button certainly isn't. As for the battery, between t equivalent phones, an iPhone always has better battery life than an Android phone. Small cars get better gas mileage than large trucks, but you can't haul a few tons of steel in a Renault. (Battery life and iMessage are, in my opinion, the only advantages an iPhone has. Everything else is better on an Android.)

I added my entire iTunes library to Google Play Music. Now it's with me no matter what device I have, & I decide what is pinned, & what isn't. Maybe something to look into.
