New S6 and a few questions

I am coming over from a Turbo on Verizon. Got a new S6 from a family member that hates it so we are trading.
Here's my question. I use the application Tasker to shut down mobile data, and background sync when my screen times out. I do this to conserve data. Does the S6 allow this?
There's other applications to do this with also so it doesn't have to be Tasker. AutomateIt and Macro Droid do the same.
Just curious if anyone can advise. Thank you for any help.

Welcome to the GS6! First of all, I'm not quite sure with regards to your question and this device. I've done similar things to phones in the past and never really liked the outcome.

There is an app called Doze you can find in the Play Store that will put your phone in sleep mode when the screen is off. You have the ability to specify which apps you want to remain active in the background. I keep mail, messages, phone, calendar and a few others, everything else is no active and not using data or battery when the screen is off, but start immediately when the screen is on .

Instead of relying on lists of worthy apps made by others, I just google "can I disable (app name)". I always end up with a useful amswer
